Purcell Constructions’ director Travis Purcell has worked in the Building and Construction industry for over 20 years.
Travis grew up in Merrijig, and during his carpentry apprenticeship cut his teeth in the harsh mountain environment at Mt Buller and Falls Creek working on various chalets, lodges and apartments in the Victorian Alpine Areas. After completing his apprenticeship, he worked as a specialised alpine carpenter for Vail Resorts in Colorado USA for a year, before moving to Melbourne for eight years. There he worked on many commercial and industrial projects in the inner city and the prestigious Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. He project-managed many new homes for several building companies, including edgy architectural new homes for several architectural firms. He branched out to run his own projects, and he was in demand for many owner builder homes, renovations, restorations and additions.
On becoming a Registered Building Practitioner in 2006 he decided to move his family back to Mansfield, where he has grown his business to currently employ a large team of carpenters and dozens of auxiliary trades-people. He works with his wife Caitlin, who runs the office and administrative side of the business. They have not looked back since returning to Mansfield, and have had the great privilege to build some outstanding projects for our clients in Mansfield and surrounding districts to date.
